The famous USA Maine lobster (Homarus americanus) is caught on the Atlantic Coast around Maine, USA. Lobsters are caught alive in traps/pots located on the seabed and baited with food. This is a sustainable and environmentally friendly form of fishing, which has a minimal impact on the surrounding marine environment. Maine lobsters thrive in colder temperatures, in which their shells become denser. This affects its physical characteristics, producing meat that is uniquely sweet and tender.
The cooked lobster meat is a good source of vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and phosphorus, as well as an incredibly good source of protein, zinc, copper and selenium.
